There are also many "different"people in my country,and most of them are teenagers like my age or a little bit older than me. They like taking photoes of themselve and uploading their pictures to the Internet,even some private pictures which are considered not to be seen by others.They wear so colorful clothes that some parents even can't accept their children to wear. They have strange hair style and hair color.They usually make up no matter girls or boys,they use eye line, eye shadow and everything they think can make them beautiful.Parents and schools are worry about this situation.Some students want to become different from"ordinary" people, they pay too much attention to attract others by dressing or something else. As a result, they fail in the exam, some even don't want to school any more.In my case, it is true that every teenager want to be unique,but not strange.Everyone has a special thing that other people don't own.What we need to do is just find out it.Also, we have to focus on our study to become excellent than others.If you just want to keep your eyes on dressing or making up, it can't last for a long time. It is possibe that you may just look like a foolish in others eyes.

EAP2 MARCH 19TH

The Chinese flag design is composed of a red background and five golden stars in the upper left corner. There is a big star in the middle which is surrounded by the other four stars. The big star means the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The other four stars mean workers , farmers,petty bourgeoisie and national assets.It symbolizes the whole nation united.Because China has suffered from many wars in the past, many people sacrificed to protect our country.It is said the red background is stained by their blood. Before it has been decided,there were many design of the flag. Our chairman Mao said , the flag should add one big yellow star and the yellow river on the background. But later, someone thought the yellow river can divide the flag into two parts. It might mean country split.Then another leader suggested to add a sickle and hammer in the big star. But we found it was similat to Russian's flag. As an independent country, we experienced a hardship during wars.We wanted something just belong to our nation,and it can reflect the national characteristics. So we rejected it again. Finally, on September 27, 1949, Five-Starred Red Flag was identified as the Chinese flag.It is the first Chinese flag ,and it is also used until today. Wherever Chinese go, when we saw our eye-catching flag , we can remind of our histroy and encourage us to go on .I am proud of it and respect it.

EPA 1A FEB 25th

This is my first term in CESL.I do really want to express an emotion of appreciating it.Since I became a students of CESL, I feel it just like a warm family for me. Teachers and classmates are very friendly,we can get long well with each other.Among all the CESL classes, I like Kara's media culture class best.She always smiles in class,it makes me feel relaxing.I remembered that once we had tea time in the afternoon, I took some cookies to her. She was very happy and smiled like a child.At that time, I treated her as my friends,even my older sister!In China,most teachers are very strict with the students, and I had to do all what the teachers asked me to do.
The relationship is not as harmony as here.Aslo, my core teacher is a cute gentlmen. He is good at body language.I know he just want us to learn more in his class.He tries best to make his class lively and interesting.Actually,it worked. I enjoy my core class very much.In addition, I made friends with some Taiwan students.Because they were exchange students ,they only had two months here.They have gone to Taiwan,I can't forget the day they went away.Before they left,they came to my house and said goodbye to me.I was so sad that we cried.We ate lunch and dinner together everyday, we studied in the same class,we went to recreation center together.We have a deep friendship.Above all. I like my CESL class!

EAP FEB20th

Actually,I think I am a bravy girl. I don't feel nervous in exam or do some dangerous sports. But I am afraid to talk with strangers,especially the people who are older than me. Since I received the admission letter from SIU, I was worry about the visa officer's face execution. Dec 12th 2008, I went to the United States Embassy in Beijing to make a interview. There were many teenagers like my age, they seemed more confidence than me. When's my turn, I am very nervous. Because many interviewors failed and they spoke English more fluently than me! I was so anxious that I even forgot to say good morning to the visa officer. I tried my best to look confidence and kept smiling . In addtion,I couldn't concentrate on listening to the questions,so I had to ask officer to repeat . I knew it would make a bad impression for the officer, so I let myself calm down. Thanks god! I was lucky that I passed.I know I will not be so lucky every time, so I let myself to communicate with people as much as possible. I found it is a easy way to make friends!

Actually,the question is difficult for me to answer. Because in my country,teenagers as my ages aren't allowed to fall in love with somebody.But,I think everyone has a ideal lover and my mother is not here, so I can talk about love!!I hope the person who married with me is a person who has a sense of responsibility.He could assume the responsibility of our family in the future.
I don't care about his appearance. He must have good moral character,be honest and kind-hearted.The most important standard in my heart is he must respect our parents. I secretly loved the boy who once to be my best heterosexual friend.But he always rude to his mother.I can't imagine a guy who a lack of respect his parents can treat me good.So he is still my friend,not my boyfriend,even not my best heterosexual friend.In fact, I want to find a boy like my father. He is the most prefect man in my heart.If I meet a guy similar to my father,I will marry him!!

I like to introduce some of the Chinese culture.China is a country has a long history.Ancient Chinese culture has always been the foundation of China's development.When I was a child ,I always curious about our culture.It is difficult to write Chinese. Each Chinese character has four different pronunciation.So it always make people confusing. I learn English here, I feel English may be hard to me.But,if you want to learn Chinese or speak Chinese well,it's much more difficult.China and the United States as the world's most powerful developing and developed countries,in the economic, there will be many co-operation about political and cultural .China is a great platform for career development.Sopeople from other country who want to develop their career in China need to learn some basic Chinese.Also,it can help China and America communicate with each other more convinence.I am really proud of my motherland.It is a love, tradition, the mysterious oriental country.

Since I was a student,I have met a lot of teachers. The teacher I respect most is my high school maths teacher.Although I did badly in maths ,he never gave me up.I remembered that one day , he taught us a simple way to solve a problem,then he tested us the same question which he just taught us. When the score came out,only I and another three girls failed in the exam.He asked us to come his office,I thought he would be angry with us,but he didn't. He taught us again until all of us four understood.Later I knew, that day was his wife's birthday. I was so sorry about that,he told me ,as a teacher ,the most important thing is student. He hoped I can try my best to do everything, no matter I interest in it or not.I still remember his words, when came cross difficulties, I was brave to face them. I did really want to express an enmotion of appreciating him.
